The Protest Against the Laws:
As some African Americans began to slowly gain power and become known they began to have speeches about the injustices of the Jim Crow Laws. Around 1950 an association called " The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" (NAACP) was starting to progress in their protests. This association mainly focused on the important factors of the Jim Crow Laws. For example, they were concerned about the segregation of transportation and education. Their hope was fading away when most southern countries started to make their own policies of transportation. For instance, on a bus the white people would sit in the front making it easy access for them to leave quickly and the African American people would have to sit in the all the way in the back of the bus. A great and inspirational example of the bus segregation protest is a brave women named Rosa Parks. In 1955 Parks was coming home from work and she took the bus home. But while boarding the bus she sat in the first row of the black seats like she was required to. Later on in the bus ride the whites section started to fill up quickly the bus driver ordered the blacks to move back a few seats to make more room for the whites. When the bus driver told Parks to move back more she refused to move stating that she shouldn't have to move. This refusal was quickly handled by the bus driver calling the police ans having Parks arrested for now complying with the rules of the bus. This right here shows a courageous women protesting against the Jim Crow segregation laws because although it was her seat at first she refused to move because she and many other felt that it wasn't right for her to have to move when the whites could simply pick another seat in the back. But because of the Segregation laws she had to follow through with the laws and get arrested. Rosa Parks is only one of the millions who have had the courage to protest again the whites when it comes to the segregation laws of Jim Crow.
